Cranio Sacral Therapy
Vicky Wright
With a diverse background in movement & physical health, from training in martial arts, yoga, physical theatre, postural therapy & aerial dance, she interweaves her knowledge to support clients along their path to recovery.
In 2001, she discovered a connection between the mind and the body. Supported by a practice in yoga, she studied "Ayurveda" ("Ayur" - life, "Veda" - science) in India in 2006, which lies as the foundation of her studies over the past 15 years.
Training for 2-years at The Craniosacral Therapy Education Trust in London, she learnt the art of this light-touch approach, which originates from cranial osteopathy.
Vicky is experienced in supporting patients through their journey with cancer, from working at the charity Paul's Cancer Support Centre, in Battersea. Craniosacral Therapy is particularly effective due to its non-invasive approach and helps to restore the immune system following chemotherapy. She has also worked with clients suffering from PTSD, through the Veteran Outreach Support programme in Portsmouth.
In 2017, she joined the teaching team at The Craniosacral Therapy Education Trust, tutoring on the 2-year practitioner training. She now continues to support students as a clinic tutor at the school's teaching clinic.
About Craniosacral therapy
Craniosacral Therapy addresses the subtle levels of body recovery. It helps to re-establish the natural rhythms (of sleep, digestion, menstruation & immunity) and relieve the build-up of stress and anxiety. It is a light-touch method which enables the body's natural healing mechanisms to re-activate.
