What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine, an established evidenced based system of diagnosis and treatment of mainly muscle, joint, disc problems and soft tissue injuries.
Pain and dysfunction mainly occur because our bodies do not work in the most efficient way and this puts strain on our joints, muscles, tendons, discs and ligaments.
Osteopathy realigns and restores the structure and function of the body to a state of balance. That is achieved through gentle articulation/mobilisation (movement of the joints) massage techniques, postural advice/correction and exercise therapy. This holistic approach ensures faster recovery and prevents recurrence.
