Venka’s interest in trauma began more than 14 years ago, during her hypnotherapy training. As a go-getter, Venka then studied EMDR therapy at Worcester University, specialising in the treatment of complex trauma. She earned a Master’s Degree with merit in Neuroscience & Psychology at King’s College London. Her research, focused on the effectiveness of EMDR therapy with neurodivergent patients, was a testament to her commitment to understanding and treating trauma.  She believes the mind (cognitive) and body (somatic) are closely connected and therefore an integrated, holistic approach is necessary for effective treatment.

Venka has gone on to study Heart Rate Variability (HRV) biofeedback and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy and offers treatments using gentle, yet powerful techniques. Venka is a member of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP).  Besides her experience treating relational trauma and PTSD, she is also warm, kind, and compassionate.
